Applications of Liquid Polyaluminium Chloride

Newstime:2026-03-25        Source:Polyacrylamide

Polyaluminium chloride products, as premium water purification agents, are available in both solid and liquid forms. However, whether in solid or liquid form, polymerised aluminium chloride demonstrates excellent efficacy. For instance, it is effective in urban drainage purification, drinking water purification, industrial water supply purification, recovery of useful substances from industrial wastewater and waste residues, as well as in treating dyeing wastewater, leather wastewater, and so forth. What are the primary applications and industries for liquid polyaluminium chloride?

Owing to its large molecular structure and strong adsorption capacity, liquid polyaluminium chloride exhibits excellent solubility and high reactivity. Within water bodies, it forms relatively large flocs. Simultaneously, its sedimentation rate is notably rapid, often two to three times faster than other flocculants. Furthermore, polyaluminium chloride exhibits strong adaptability, being relatively unaffected by water pH and temperature variations. Water treated with this product achieves superior quality, featuring low cation and anion content. Its low corrosivity and straightforward operation effectively reduce labour intensity.
Applications of Liquid Polyaluminium Chloride

Given the numerous advantages of liquid polyaluminium chloride, it demonstrates excellent efficacy in treating both domestic and industrial water supplies. Moreover, it yields unexpectedly effective results when treating certain challenging industrial wastewater streams. What distinguishes solid polyaluminium chloride from its liquid counterpart?

Solid form represents the original state of polyaluminium chloride. It offers convenient storage and helps reduce wastewater treatment costs. The product boasts a shelf life of up to two years. Even if moisture is absorbed during this period, it does not compromise efficacy. It is also highly convenient for transportation and storage. However, prior to use, solid polyaluminium chloride must be dissolved and diluted to the required concentration before addition; it cannot be added directly to wastewater. Liquid polyaluminium chloride presents a different scenario. Being a liquid formulation, it is considerably less convenient for transportation. However, it requires no dissolution prior to use; simply dilute the liquid polyaluminium chloride to the desired concentration. This effectively reduces labour intensity and offers a lower price point. Nevertheless, liquid polyaluminium chloride has a significantly shorter shelf life and must be utilised within six months.
