Anionic Polyacrylamide

      Anionic polyacrylamide is a high molecular weight polymer. Being water-soluble, it contains numerous specific functional groups within its molecular structure. This enables rapid adsorption of suspended particulates in wastewater. Through interparticle bridging and electrostatic interactions, it swiftly forms larger flocs. Consequently, it accelerates the rapid settling of suspended impurity clusters, thereby delivering pronounced rapid clarification, purification, and filtration effects. Within the water purification sector, when employed in conjunction with polyaluminium chloride, the water treatment efficacy is further enhanced. This combination can meet the water purification requirements across diverse industrial sectors.

• It exhibits good water solubility. Even at lower temperatures, its dissolution remains unaffected.
• Low dosage requirements: Minimal quantities of anionic polyacrylamide rapidly form substantial flocs, thereby achieving purification.

1. Polyacrylamide must first be prepared as an aqueous solution with a concentration between 0.01% and 0.05%. It is preferable to use neutral tap water free from salts.
2. During dissolution, the anionic polyacrylamide agent should be evenly dispersed into the reaction tank. Continuous stirring of the water is essential, with the stirring speed maintained between 100 and 300 revolutions per minute. The optimal dissolution temperature is above 60°C, which accelerates the process.
3. Adjust the pH of the wastewater. Conduct beaker tests to determine the most suitable pH level and polyacrylamide dosage to maximise its performance.
4. Finally, add the anionic polyacrylamide solution. Increase the stirring intensity to facilitate rapid dissolution and mixing. Once flocculants appear, reduce the stirring speed. This promotes accelerated growth and rapid settling of the flocculants.
5. Note: Polyacrylamide bears a resemblance to common table salt. Many unscrupulous manufacturers adulterate their packaging. Customers are advised to exercise vigilance to avoid deception.
