Polyaluminium chloride products, as inorganic polymeric water treatment agents, are categorised by their content into three types: 30%, 28%, and 26% concentration grades. Each concentration grade serves distinct applications and usage scopes, allowing selection based on specific requirements during implementation.

Generally, the 30% concentration product exhibits higher purity and is predominantly employed for specialised water treatment applications such as potable water purification, fluoride removal, and chlorine elimination. The 28% concentration product is primarily utilised for the treatment and purification of industrial effluents and wastewater. The 26% concentration product offers a relatively lower price point and finds application across a broader spectrum of industries. Select the chemical agent most suitable for your specific industry based on your operational requirements.

In terms of form, polyaluminium chloride can be categorised into solid polyaluminium chloride, spray-dried polyaluminium chloride, and liquid polyaluminium chloride products. Spray-dried polyaluminium chloride facilitates greater surface contact with water, resulting in superior purification efficiency. It is extensively employed in water treatment within industries such as power generation. Solid polyaluminium chloride, commonly referred to as solid PAC, enjoys widespread application across diverse sectors. It demonstrates excellent efficacy in treating wastewater streams including dyeing effluent, leather processing waste, fluoride-containing effluent, brewing wastewater, metallurgical effluent, papermaking wastewater, coal washing wastewater, municipal water purification, industrial water purification, and urban sewage treatment.

Typically, the price of polyaluminium chloride is determined by its content. Higher content indicates greater purity of aluminium trioxide within the product, consequently commanding a higher price. Spray-dried polyaluminium chloride products with 30% content command a higher price point and deliver superior performance. These typically present as pale yellow powders or granules. Products with 28% content are marginally more economical, making them frequently employed in industrial wastewater treatment applications.

Regardless of the polyaluminium chloride concentration used, it is essential to conduct trials based on the raw water conditions to determine the optimal dosage. If flocculation is poor with high turbidity during dosing, the dosage is too low. Conversely, large flocs rising to the surface indicate excessive dosage. Adjustments must be made promptly in either scenario.
