Newstime:2025-11-07        Source:Polyacrylamide

Concerning polyacrylamide. A question frequently posed by clients is: How much polyacrylamide should be added per tonne of wastewater? What solution ratio should be used to achieve optimal water purification results? Firstly, it must be understood that the dosage of PAM varies significantly depending on the specific wastewater being treated. Secondly, it is closely related to the type of polyacrylamide employed. In most cases: The concentration ratio for cationic polyacrylamide is 0.2%, while that for anionic polyacrylamide is 0.1%.
How Much Polyacrylamide Should be Added Per Tonne of Sewage?

Typically:
The dosage of anionic polyacrylamide per tonne of wastewater is approximately 1 kilogram. For 100 millilitres of wastewater, the PAM dosage is 1 millilitre.
Approximately 2 kilograms of cationic polyacrylamide per tonne of wastewater. For 1100 millilitres of wastewater, the polyacrylamide dosage is approximately 2 millilitres. For sludge dewatering applications, 5 kilograms of water treatment chemical per tonne of sludge is required, with 10 grams of polyacrylamide added.

Our polyacrylamide manufacturer provides bespoke water treatment solutions. Submit wastewater samples for complimentary analysis to determine optimal polyacrylamide selection and dosage.
