polyaluminum chloride PAC (ammoniacal calcium phosphate) is currently one of the most widely used high-efficiency coagulants in the water purification industry. It is available as a yellow or brown powder or granule. Its mechanism of action is based on adsorption, charge neutralization, adsorption bridge formation, and sediment capture. This destabilizes, aggregates, flocculates, coagulates, and precipitates suspended particles and colloidal ions present in wastewater, thus achieving a purifying effect. PAC has a wide range of applications, effectively removing bacteria, odors, fluoride, chromium, turbidity, heavy metals, and radioactive materials.

1. Wastewater treatment

It can be applied to the treatment of wastewater containing fluoride, oil and heavy metals in dyeing and printing plants, pharmaceutical plants, paper mills, coal washing, metallurgy, mining areas, food processing plants, mineral processing plants and leather factories, as well as domestic wastewater treatment, municipal wastewater treatment and chemical wastewater treatment.

2. Mining industry

The PAC offers excellent performance in the mining industry. It is commonly used for washing and classifying minerals, as well as for mineral separation. It allows for the separation of water from coal gangue, thus facilitating water recycling.

3. Oil Extraction

Polyaluminum chloride (PAC) is a key raw material for treating wastewater from oil extraction. In the petroleum industry, it is used as an oil displacement agent, hydraulic seal conditioner, drilling fluid conditioner, and fracturing fluid additive.

4. Paper Industry

PAC is primarily used in the paper industry for wastewater treatment and water purification. Its main functions include acting as a neutral sizing agent, rosin retention aid, and filtration aid. It is also used to control known blockages and as an anionic impurity remover.

5. Textile printing and dyeing

Wastewater generated in the traditional textile printing and dyeing industry is characterized by its dark color, large volume, and high content of organic pollutants. The use of PAC results in the formation of large, dense flocs during the treatment of this wastewater. These flocs settle rapidly, producing significant treatment effects. Furthermore, PAC also possesses anti-crease properties for leather and textiles.

6. Agriculture

Soil crusts offer advantages such as high surface density, low porosity, and a low saturation point. However, they hinder soil moisture infiltration, increase surface runoff, and thus inhibit seed germination. The primary function of polyaluminum chloride (PAC) is to increase soil moisture content, inhibit crust formation, and promote water infiltration.

7. Other

PAC can also be used in cement curing, pharmaceutical refining, mold casting, the pharmaceutical industry, glycerol and sugar refining, and compound carbonization.
