The characteristics of
spray-dried polyaluminium chloride are determined by the operating principle of the pressure sprayer. Aluminium chloride produced via the pressure spray drying process yields porous or hollow microgranules. These exhibit dust-proofing and smoothness properties. Due to superior contact with the water body being treated, both its wettability and water treatment efficacy surpass other powdered products. The spray production process not only dries the polyaluminium chloride but simultaneously transforms it into minute particles. Polymerised aluminium chloride is a water-soluble substance exhibiting excellent thermal stability and solubility. A 40-50% aluminium chloride solution is drawn into a high-pressure pump and formed into granular product via a drying spray nozzle. Dehydration and particle formation occur simultaneously during this production process.
What are the applications of spray-dried polyaluminium chloride? As an inorganic polymeric flocculant, polyaluminium chloride is produced by introducing hydroxyl ion functional groups and polyvalent anion polymerisation functional groups, yielding inorganic polymers with high molecular weight and charge density. It is effective across a pH range of 5.0–9.0. The optimal pH range is 6.5–7.6. Spray-dried polyaluminium chloride is applicable for purification and clarification of river water, lake water, and groundwater. It is also employed in the treatment of industrial water, industrial circulating water, and wastewater. Furthermore, it plays a significant role in the recycling of coal mine flushing wastewater and the recovery of wastewater in the ceramics industry. Spray-dried polyaluminium chloride further finds application in printing plants for paper bonding, in dyeing and tanning factories for wrinkle prevention in leather and fabrics, in breweries, meat processing plants, and pharmaceutical factories for refining medicinal products, glycerine, and sugars, paper mills, coal washing, metallurgy, and mining operations for cement setting and mould casting. It is also effective in treating wastewater containing fluoride, oils, and heavy metals.
VICTOR's liquid spray-dried polyaluminium chloride products may be added directly to water samples or diluted prior to addition. Solid spray-dried polyaluminium chloride products require dissolution and dilution before use. The dilution water volume is determined based on the water quality of the sample to be treated and the quantity of product. The dilution ratio for solid spray-dried polyaluminium chloride products is 2-20%. For liquid products, it is 5-50%. The dosage for liquid spray-dried polyaluminium chloride products is 3-40 grams per tonne. The dosage for solid products is 1-15 grams per tonne. The specific dosage should be determined by flocculation tests and experiments.
