        Honeycomb activated carbon possesses a large surface area, strong adsorption capacity, and extended service life. Each pore is highly developed, enabling extensive surface contact with exhaust gases. Harmful gases within exhaust fumes are adsorbed and decomposed, thereby purifying the exhaust gases. Honeycomb activated carbon finds extensive application in treating gases requiring purification or exhaust treatment. Practical evidence demonstrates its superior purification efficacy compared to conventional activated carbon. Currently, it can remove pollutants including: chlorine, benzene, formaldehyde, acetone, ethanol, diethyl ether, nitrogen oxides, carbon tetrachloride, methanol, and malodours. When chemically impregnated, honeycomb activated carbon can effectively remove: hydrogen sulphide, ammonia, mercury, carbon monochloride, dioxins, acid mists, alkali mists, amines, mercaptans, and similar compounds.

       Honeycomb activated carbon may be employed directly. It may also be placed within purification cabinets or adsorption beds. Should exhaust gases persist at high concentrations or with substantial discharge volumes, additional purification cabinets or adsorption beds may be incorporated for continuous operation. During utilisation, elevated exhaust gas temperatures diminish adsorption capacity, exhibiting an inverse relationship with temperature. The faster the temperature rises, the more rapidly adsorption capacity declines, and vice versa. Another critical consideration is avoiding high concentrations of oil mist or dust-laden exhaust. Tar deposits can clog the microporous structure of the honeycomb activated carbon, significantly increasing resistance and diminishing adsorption efficiency. Should this occur, installing a dust filter prior to use is advisable to achieve optimal purification results and extend service life.
